NENEK SI BONGKOK TIGA

This game must play in required a large number of person. Usually, the game played on a large area such as outside the home. The special of this game is the song that 'cucu' and 'nenek' must sung.

                            HOW TO PLAY

One person will be blind folded and the others will make a circle around the blind folded person. They will sing the song and move along the circle until the song finish. After the song finish, they will run away from the blind folded person. The task for the blind folded person is to find any friends to replace his role later. Once he get to touch someone, he needs to guess the person's name correctly.

                                                                                 






ONE TWO SOM

Everybody should be familiar with this game also known as rock paper scissors. The players varies from any age, and any number of players can be involved. It is one of the most basic game ever, without expensive boards or dices. However with only, our hand, the excitement and joy is on a league on its own.



                                                     HOW TO PLAY
The hand is hidden on the player's back and the round started with every player shows their hand to others, in the three form, rock, scissors and paper. Winner is determined by :

ROCK will break SCISSOR
PAPER will covers ROCK
SCISSOR will cut PAPER

                                                            


CEPER/ TUTUP BOTOL

It is a popular games around 1970-1980. This game always played by them because they did not have any games like today. This game also known as 'jentik tutup botol', 'tutup oren', or 'kempyeng'.

                                                                   
                                    RULES TO PLAY CEPER

  • This game need five steel caps or 'ceper'. Please press a little to make the steel caps easier to lob
  • This game need more than one player to make this game more exciting and interesting
  • Player determine the rotation by lob action. The player who lob the cap and get big number of caps get the advantage to start the game.
  • Player will spin the ceper to play. Make sure each piece of ceper is not overlap.
  • If the allocation meets the criteria of the rule, the game can be continue with take one of the ceper which are scattered.
  • If chosen have been made, the other player need to decide which ceper should be flipped.
                                                          

                                                 HOW TO PLAY
                                                   

STEP 1
 Each person will lob ceper (one pieces of ceper will consider to 2 points). Player with higher point will start first. Ceper must be overlapping (vertical) and placed on the other hand.

STEP 2
 The all the ceper was measles on the floor. Another team will choose which ceper to be flipped. If the overlapping (two), is called "chicken". While if the ceper overlapping (three) it is called 'jamban", and overlapping (four) called "flowers".

STEP 3
 Winners will be determined by the total number that player get.

                                                 

CHAPTEH

Chapteh is a traditional Asian game which requires players to keep a weighted shuttlecock in the air, usually using their feet, although other parts of the body may be used, except for the hands The chapteh consists of feathers attached to a rubber or plastic sole.


                                                         
                           HOW TO PLAY     

  The game involves keeping the capteh in the air for as long as possible by kicking it up using the heel of the foot until it is missed or dropped.When played in groups, a circle is drawn, marking the play area for each team. Alternatively, the team makes the circle. The game is played in the circle with the first assigned player attempting to keep the capteh in the air until it falls to the ground within the circle. Then the next team member continues the count while playing in the circle. This continues until all team members have taken a turn in the game. The winning team is the one that scores the highest number of total kicks

GULI

This game also known as Kelereng. One game involves drawing a circle in sand, and players will take turns knocking other players' marbles out of the circle with their own marble. This game is called ringer but is also known by other names. Other versions involve shooting marbles at target marbles or into holes in the ground 



                                        
The main goal is to end up with the most marbles at the end of the game. Each player brings his personal set of marbles to use and potentially lose. This is considered playing "for keeps" or "keepsies."


                           PLAYING FIELD


Draw a circle measuring 10 feet in diameter (according to tournament rules) and a starting or "lag" line. The lag line is drawn just outside of the circle or "ring."


HOW TO PLAY
Players use a shooter marble, which is larger than the others, to knock opponent marbles out of the ring. Players win any marbles they knock out. The player with the most "won" marbles wins the game. Players can also win marbles by knocking out another player's shooter marble, thereby collecting all of that player's "won" marbles.


WAU

Traditional kite is also known as wau due to the similarity of its shape to the Arabic letter that is pronounced as 'wow'. In the past, after post-harvesting season, wau were played by farmers on levels ground. Although there are many different shapes of the wau, the most popular one is the Wau Bulan or Moon Kites where the tail of the kite is curved in the shaped of a crescent moon

The frame is made of bamboo which measures up to 2.5 to 3 meters long.




HOW TO PLAY
The wau can be used for kite-fighting where the opponents try to bring down their rivals' kites by cutting the strings. The string of the wau is coated with glass powder to provide the 'cutting edge'. Although skills are important in maneuvering the kite or wau, the wind condition also influences the playing of the game.

CONGKAK

This is a game played on a wooden boat-shaped block with two rows of seven circular holes and two large holes at both ends called "home". This game also played in other south east asian countries such as Indonesia and Philippines where it is known as "Sungka".


                                       
                                                             

 The game begins with seven game pieces (shells, marbles, pebbles or seeds) in each hole except "homes" which remain empty. Congkak requires two players. Each players controls the seven holes on his side of the board and owns the "home" to nis left. The goal is to accumulate as many pieces in your own "home".

                                         HOW TO PLAY
STEP 1
 On a turn, a player removes all pieces from one of the seven holes on his side. He then distributes them clockwise, (one in each hole to the left of his hole) in a process called sowing. Sowing skips an opponent's "home" but not a player's own "home".

STEP 2
 If the last piece falls into an occupied hole then all the pieces are removed from that hole, and are sown in the same way (clockwise from that hole) in another round. This player's (current) turn ends when the last piece falls into an empty hole on the opponent's side.

STEP 3
The game ends when no pieces are left in any hole on both sides of the board. The players now count the number of pieces in their own  "home" and see who has won.


                                    RULES OF CONGKAK
  •  If the last piece sown falls into a player's own "home" then......

            .....the player earns another turn, which can begin at any of the seven holes on his side.
  
  •  If the last piece sown falls into an empty hole on his side then......

           ....the player captures all the pieces in the hole directly across from this one, on the opponent's side                     and put them (plus the last piece sown) in his own "home'. If the opposing of the board when it is his turn, then he must pass.



                                     

BATU SEREMBAN

This game also known as Selambut or Serembat game. It can be played as an individual game or in groups of two to four people or more. Marbles, rubber seeds, medium sized pebbles or other round and medium size objects are used by children in this game. Objects are called buah (fruit)


                               HOW TO START THE GAME
Before the game start, one by one, players are required to weigh the 'buah' to determine who will play first, second , third, and so on. All of the buah is placed on the palm of the hand and be tossed to the air. Then it will be catch using the back of the hand. After that, throw the buah from the back of the hand and catch it with the palm. The player with highest point will be the first player and so on.


                                                        HOW TO PLAY
STEP 1 
 Begin with the first stage by using a 'buah' and go through to a higher level or the top level which is called the 'buah tujuh' or fruit of seven.

STEP 2
 After completing all the stage, the player must weigh the ;buah' and the the point are given by counting the number of 'buah' that had been catch at the end of the weigh. A player can play until the 'buah' cannot be collect or the main 'buah' fell to the ground before collecting the other 'buah'.

                       
                                                             


SEPAK RAGA

   
  At this time there is no longer played sepak raga, it changed the name to sepak takraw. Sepak takraw snitch two teams separated by a net, as in badminton. Sepak takraw team consist of three players. Skipper to kick start and control the back court. Surround left and right to control the front of the wedge ring and take on the main task of turning off the ball in a tennis opponent.


                                         HISTORY OF SEPAK RAGA
Takraw game in existence since 600 years ago. At the time of the Malacca Sultanate, well played by the aristocracy, the people also love this game. In Malay history tells the story of King Mohammed, the son of Sultan Mansor Shah Muhammad tanjaknya when hit by a ball off the kick raga General Tun. FONDLE BALL
This game requires agility and physical efficiency and sharpness eye to measure movement. The goal of each player is to boost the skills to take delivery of sport and fondle ball comfortably as long as possible. Game duration is not specified except in the competition which is usually organized as a team event. Successful teams make the most nicknames in a given period is calculated to win. 

 HOW TO PLAY
STEP 1
The game begins with one player tossing the ball to his hand. A voice will fondle the ball with his foot once or several times, before kicking it towards other players.

STEP 2
Players who form the circle or circles must take turns fondle the ball and control it from falling to the ground. If the ball is dropped, the game in the round ended.

                                                     

KETINGTING

Ketinting game also known as a game 'for stone house', 'Tingting and 'ciak tingting' is one of the Malay cultural heritage which is still popular nowadays. It's a children's game that is not only entertainment, but also beneficial for mental and physical to the players. This game was practice especially by rural communities that still maintain their ancestral heritage.

                                         HISTORY OF KETINGTING
Ketingting introduced among the Roman soldiers as military training who honed physical the strength and resilience. During the training, the soldier will run while carrying heavy sacks and reliable method can enchance the agility and resilience of their feet. By leveraging this training the soldiers can survive longer in battle.When Rom children see the training, they begin to imitate warriors training to create and modify ketingting game. They adjust by reducing the total area of the parcel and facilitate the game with their own scoring system children. Ketingting game is different in many countries in terms of number and size of the box, how to play and the tools used. But the two basic features of universal game is 'squares' and skills 'jump'.

                                                       
                              
                                 RULES OF KETINGTING

  •  Corps players can not be the same because the players can be tricky to distinguish.

  • During the play, 'corps' may not fall outside the box, on the line of any parcel and the parcel 'home' player.

  • Hand and foot players can not step on the line while jumping or compartment while taking the 'corps' them

  • A player is given three chances only when the selection of the 'home' if 'corps' fall on the line, or 'home' of the other players, players are considered 'dead' and will restart the game from scratch.

  • Players can jump in their own 'home' but not at the other players' 'home' player. 


                                                            HOW TO PLAY

STEP 1
 Players need to remove 'corps' in the box 'HOME' following the fall by rotation. Core players closest to the line 'HOME' will start the game. Players will be standing at the beginning when you start playing. 

STEP 2
Players must remove the 'corps' in box 1 first. Then the players will continue to jump until he returned to the starting point (jump on one leg for a single number and both legs for an even number of square)

STEP 3
A players must finish the game until 'corps' him thrown in box 7. At the end of the round, now it is now step choose 'home'.

STEP 4
Players will be throwing 'corps' in any of the places where the fall. In 'corps', will be 'home' players. 'Home' can be decorated with a pattern of players according to player preferences.



HIDE AND SEEK

   This game was played for a leisure time. It also known as 'main ibu', 'main induk' , 'aci sorok' or petak kumpet. It was played by at least two to ten players. This game is one of the types of outdoor games. A tree or tall pole will be the places for the seeker to find another players that hidden from him/her.

  • To find the players who were hiding in somewhere
  • To spend our leisure time
  • To make a good relationship among friends and the players

                             RULES OF HIDE & SEEK


  •   Once the seeker has determine by the players, the seeker should stand up to close his eyes at the main house.
  •   If there are players who hiding at the outside from the main places, they will be the new seeker and must take the role as the seeker. 
  •  The seeker ,must run to the main house and touch the main house for the purpose of avoiding the discovered players to touch the main house

  • The seeker will continue to seek another players until had found them completely

                                    
                                    HOW TO PLAY

STEP 1
The seeker will start counting from 1 to 100 or less with loudly. At that time another players who must hiding, will start to find place to hide before seeker finish counting.

STEP 2
 After the count had been finished by the seeker, he or she will start looking for another players which hidden around the main places. If the seeker had found one of the players, he / she has to mention the name of players loudly and followed by the mention the word of "ibu". The seeker must run to the main house and touch the main house for the purpose of avoiding the discovered players to touch the main house.

STEP 3
The seeker will continue to seek another players until had found all of them completely. After all the players have been found by the seeker and no one of the players had touched the main house, then the first discovered players will be the new seeker.


KONDA-KONDI

Konda-kondi’ or also known as "perik mata" is one of the traditional games. This game is creation 
by society Malay. This game is the way to release tension after tired study or working. There are a 
lot of version of playing this game. Different states or different town boys and girls have their own 
set of ways to enjoy them with a different set of rules that goes along with it.We learned to play by  
passing the skill down generations to generations. 


                                                          

                                                     HOW TO PLAY?

STEP 1
   This games requires a minimum of two players; it's a wonderful for couples who want to spend time in the park without being booked for close proximity. However, it will be best if we play in the bug group. To play this game, we should divided into two group.

STEP 2
   You need two sticks of different length, about 8 to 12 inches long. One stick will function as a projectile, and the other is a bat to launch said projectile.
                                                      STEP 3
   Dig a hole. If you are in a location where hole-digging is not possible. seek an indent in the ground. Decide which team will be batting first. From this starting team, choose a single member to begin. Said member will wield the batting stick.

STEP 4
  The batting player hooks his/her batting stick under the projectile and flicks it up as far as possible. The opposing team must scramble to catch the projectile before it hits the ground.

STEP 5
  If the opposing team manages to catch the projectile stick, the batting team loses its turn and teams switch roles.


                                                     

    

GASING


Gasing or top-spinning, is a traditional game popular among Malay in the olden days. In rural 
areas, gasing contest were  held during the rice-ripening season. They believed that spinning 
top would help bring good harvest. The objective of the game is to keep the top spinning for as 
long as possible and the player who’s top  spin the longest win.The gasing or top usually 
made of wood or hard fruit. There are 4 different shape of tops:-
