GASING

Gasing or top-spinning, is a traditional game popular among Malay in the olden days. In rural 

areas, gasing contest were  held during the rice-ripening season. They believed that spinning 

top would help bring good harvest. The objective of the game is to keep the top spinning for as 

long as possible and the player who’s top  spin the longest win.The gasing or top usually 

made of wood or hard fruit. There are 4 different shape of tops:-

                                         * heart-shaped

                                         * egg-shaped
